The Jalna Big Bay Swim
Sunday, 26th February 2012
Starting at 9.00am at Sandridge Beach, Port Melbourne
Finish line at Gem Pier, Williamstown
After swim activities and entertainment from 9.30am to 1.00pm at Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown

The Jalna Big Bay Swim is on again. The 3.2km swim starts at Sandridge, Beach Port Melbourne and finishes at Gem Pier and Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown.

The event is unique in that it is one of only a few ‘open water swims’ that crosses the shipping channel and bay; most other open water events run parallel to the shore where the currents and conditions are flatter, so this swim is a real challenge!

The Jalna Big Bay Swim event supports one of Point Gellibrand Rotary Club’s major charity recipients: Challenge, supporting kids with cancer.

At the Williamstown finish line, there will be food and family entertainment in a market atmosphere to also encourage the non-swimming local community to come along and enjoy the day.

Early registration via the website is encouraged, as there are limited spaces. Entry forms are available from www.bigbayswim.com.au
