Congratulations on recently moving into the Point Cook/Seabrook/Altona Meadows/Laverton area. We hope that you enjoy many years of living in the area.
The City of Wyndham is the fastest growing municipality in Victoria and the fourth fastest in Australia. Wyndhams population has experienced a 7.2% or about 8,900 growth per annum which equates to about 6 new families moving into the municipality each day. The Hobsons Bay City Council was one of the first sites of European settlement in Victoria. there are many historic and significant heritage
There are numerous public and private schools in the area, childcare and kindergarten facilities. Medical and health care centres are conveniently located. Existing shopping facilities include Central Square Shopping Centre, Sanctuary Lakes Shopping centre, the new Point Cook Town Centre has been developed and includes retail and commercial facilities. Transport facilities include buses and trains and a new train station has been approved and will be constructed in the area just across the Princess Freeway and will be able to be accessed via Palmers Road for the local residents to utilize.
There are many things to see and do in the area: Werribee Park Mansion, Victoria's Open Range Zoo at Werribee, the State Equestrian Centre, the Point Cook Homestead and the Point Cook RAAF Museum, Point Cook Coastal Park, Skeleton Creek Wetlands are just some of the local attractions.
